Our mission is to create opportunities for individual success by providing, and promoting the effective use of, accessible educational materials.
RFB&D Vision
Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic’s vision is for all people to have equal access to the printed word.
About RFB&D For over 50 years, the Arizona Unit has been providing access to
educational materials for individuals who are blind, visually impaired, have
learning disabilities such as dyslexia and are unable to process the written
word. Our studios in central
Phoenix and in the West Valley produce hundreds of digitally-recorded
textbooks every year to benefit our members.
Membership in RFB&D Two kinds of membership in our Learning Through Listening®
Program are offered: Individual memberships, which allow students to access as
many textbooks as they need at their own homes, and Institutional memberships
for schools and school districts. Our members have access to recorded textbooks
on CD with built-in navigation so students can easily go to specific pages,
chapters and sections. Educators can also access research services and training
in how to use our materials most effectively.
