Record-A-Thon at the Boston
Unit
The Governor Makes a Visit
Massachusetts
Governor Mitt Romney (pictured above) was a guest reader
at the Boston Unit recently. Due to schedule conflicts,
the Governor was not able to participate during Record-A-Thon
but stopped by the unit a week later to help launch the
Boston's Unit's summer reading initiative. He read the beginning
of George Washington and the Founding of a Nation, a high school-level biography of the first President that
is part of the Boston Public Schools' summer reading list.

Governor
Romney is pictured with Tina Raimo, the unit's executive
director. The unit is grateful for the governor taking time
from his schedule to record this title!

Author Joins the Record-A-Thon
In
honor of the Record-A-Thon, author Sophie Powell (pictured
right with Studio Director Ted Washburn) recorded her
book The Mushroom Man on May 2. |

The book
was published in 2003 by G.P. Putnam's Sons. This is the
first of Sophie's novels and we are grateful she took the
time to record her book for RFB&D!
