How to Receive Services from
the
Metropolitan Washington Unit
RFB&D of Metropolitan Washington currently serves
nearly 5,000 students in the District, Northern Virginia and Maryland
suburbs who have visual, learning, or other physical disabilities
that prevent them from reading print effectively.
RFB&D memberships give students access to our
109,000+ volume library of educational audio textbooks, from elementary
to post-graduate level, and extensive hands-on training on the
use of RFB&D texts and players.
In addition to serving local students individually
and through their schools, we work with afterschool programs in
inner-city neighborhoods to ensure that recorded texts are available
to students in under-served areas of our community.
Call 202-244-8990, ext. 27 for information and to
find out about both formal presentations and informal training
sessions for students, parents, and educators.
