Volunteer Opportunities

There are many volunteer opportunities at the Georgia Studio. We depend on the generosity of our volunteers who make it possible for use to get BOOKS to BORROWERS.

Volunteers help us in many ways. Reading is just one of them. As a team the volunteers and production staff produce audio versions of textbooks for our borrowers.

Listed below are some of the vital roles volunteers play in our studio.

Reading

  • Readers read the textbooks in accordance with the RFB&D conventions so that our borrowers can have access to their content.

Directing

  • Directors assist the readers by following along as the text is read and assisting in the recording process.

Support Roles

  • Tape duplicating
  • Quality control checking
  • Mailing textbooks
  • Marking books for recording
  • Setting up book-related computer files
  • And other jobs around the studio
