COAST CRIME CONVENTION'S "LIGHTS! CAMERA! MURDER!" DONATES
PROCEEDS TO
Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic- Los Angeles
Los Angeles, California, March 11, 2003 -
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WHEN: Left Coast Crime Convention's "Lights!
Camera! Murder!" was held 2/27-3/02/03
WHAT: The event, which included author panels, book sales, signings
and more, drew mystery fans from around the globe. Best-selling
mystery author Robert Crais was Guest of Honor. Emmy-award winning
writer/producer and best-selling author Stephen J. Cannell was
a guest speaker. Silent and live auctions were also held to benefit
national nonprofit organization Recording for the Blind &
Dyslexic®-Los Angeles (RFB&D®-LA) which has volunteer
recording studios located in Hollywood, Reseda and Redondo Beach.
WHERE: The event was held at the Pasadena Hilton, 168 S. Los Robles,
Pasadena, CA
WHY: Every year the Left Coast Crime Convention
holds silent and live auctions to benefit a nonprofit organization.
This year's beneficiary, Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic-Los
Angeles (RFB&D-LA) has been providing audio textbooks to students
of all ages with physical, vision or learning disabilities for
more than 50 years.
HOW MUCH WAS RAISED: $13,000 was raised for the
programs and services of RFB&D-LA. For more information about
