Getting Started with the Plextalk PTR2

Battery Information
The First time you use the PTR2, or after one month or more of storage, you should connect the main power supply for at least 24 hours.

Type of Battery: Internal rechargeable
Battery Charge Time: 5 hours
Battery Charge Life:
CD-R/RW Record: 2.5 hours
Daisy Playback: 6 hours
Music CD Playback: 4 hours

Machine Basics
Turning the PTR2 on and Off

ON: Push the power on/off switch toward the rear of the PTR2 until you hear a chime.
Listen for the startup music
If there is no disc inside you will hear No Disc.
Off:
Pull the Power on/off switch towards the front of the PTR2 and release it.
The PTR2 will beep and then say Shut Down.
Listen for the music tones and the a chime.

Inserting a CD

•  Insert the CD, label side up, into the cd slot drive.
•  Gently push the cd forward. The player will pull the cd into the player.

NOTE: Do not force a CD into the slot drive. If the player does not automatically pull the CD in, check to make sure you have ejected the last CD.

Entering your PIN

•  Each time you turn the machine on your must enter your RFB&D PIN.
•  If you do not enter the PIN, you will not be able to listen to RFB&D’s AudioPlus books.
•  If you change books with out turning the player OFF, you will not have to re-enter your PIN.
•  After entering your four digit PIN you will need to press the # key to confirm your entry.
