The following language can be used if you wish to name RFB&D in your will: "I give, devise, bequeath to the The Regional Unit of the Virginias and Carolinas of Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic, Inc., The Regional Unit of the Virginias and Carolinas UnitUnit, 1021 Millmont Street, Charlottesville, VA 22903, the sum of $_______ or _______% of my estate."

For additional information about supporting the The Regional Unit of the Virginias and Carolinas Unitof RFB&D, contact Christine Eure, Executive Director, at (434) 293-4797, ext. 25, or through e-mail at ceure@rfbdvanc.org.

  5. Consider a Gift Annuity for RFB&D

If you have a certificate of deposit (CD) that is reaching maturity and you are thinking of renewing it, you are most likely looking at rates of return between 1.7% for a one-year CD and 3.6% for a five-year one. An attractive alternative to consider is a charitable gift annuity to The Regional Unit of the Virginias and Carolinas Unit, which will significantly increase your income and provide you with a tax deduction. Here are some examples of current gift annuity rates:

    Age 60 - 6.4% Age 75 - 7.9%
    Age 65 - 6.7% Age 80 - 8.9%
    Age 70 - 7.2%

The charitable gift annuity document is just one page and easy to complete. This could be a very nice gift both for you and the unit. For more information, please contact Christine Eure, Executive Director, at (434) 293-4797, ext. 25, or through e-mail at ceure@rfbdvanc.org.

  6. GoodSearch.com

What if RFB&D earned a penny every time you searched the Internet?
    Well, now we can!

GoodSearch.com is a new search engine that donates half its revenue to the charities its users designate. You use it just as you would any search engine, and it's powered by Yahoo!, so you get great results. Just go to www.goodsearch.com and be sure to enter Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic - RFB&D (Princeton, NJ) as the charity you want to support. The more times you search, the more money we'll earn for our RFB&D Unit. Just 500 of us searching four times a day will raise about $7300 in a year without anyone spending a dime! And, be sure to check out GoodSearch on July 5 as we are going to be featured as the Charity of the Day!
