Community Foundation of the Dan River Region & RFB&D open doors for students with disabilities in Southside Virginia

Through their generous support of the RFB&D Pittsylvania County Literacy Initiative the Community Foundation of the Dan River Region has created more possibilities for educational success for students in Southside Virginia. This project enabled the following schools to open a Learning Through Listening® Center at their schools:

• Chatham Middle School
• Chatham High School
• Turnstall Middle School
• Turnstall High School
• Dan River Middle School
• Dan River High School
• Gretna Middle School
• Gretna High School

Now these schools are equipped to grant students access to RFB&D audio textbooks and playback equipment. With these tools, students with print disabilities are able to keep up with curriculum demands and improve their academic performance. RFB&D would like to thank the Community Foundation of the Dan River Region for their support of students with print disabilities and for helping us further our mission to students in Southside Virginia!
