Special Book Collections

As a service to RFB&D members, our reference librarians prepare reading lists that they feel may be useful or enjoyable to our members, their parents, and teachers, for in-classroom or independent reading.

Each month, Librarian's Choice will feature a new list of recommended titles; in addition, special bibliographies may appear from time to time. These bibliographies may be pertinent to a current event, or may be a collection of books sponsored by a generous donor.

To order books from these lists, you may do one of the following things:

  1. Visit our online catalog and ordering center.
Note: you must activate an online account at the online catalog and ordering center before you can order audiobooks online from RFB&D.
  2. Contact member services toll-free at 800-221-4792.
  3. Send a fax to 609-987-8116.
  4. Send an e-mail to custserv@rfbd.org.

If you're interested in other collections of books, you can search our Online Catalog Subject / Keyword search feature by keywords, subjects or grade levels. Learn more now.

For your summer reading pleasure, we’ve selected new, entertaining, and thought-provoking books for all educational levels on our Summer Fun Reading list. Teachers and parents – lesson plans for many K-12 titles on the Summer Fun Reading list are available on our Learning Through Listening website for use in fall lessons. Titles with associated lesson plans are marked on the list with an easy to follow link to the Learning Through Listening website, so you can encourage your students to read over the summer and get a head-start on your planning, too!
