Thursday, October 4th, 2007 6-8pm Opening Reception
The Southwest Region of RFB&D is proud to welcome New York artist Melissa Oden for her solo exhibit of prints and drawings.

In her own words, "I believe there is a story in every moment. I invite the viewer into my reality where everyday scenes are re-examined and transformed into psychologically charged and distorted environments. My inspiration is derived from observing the life that surrounds me in New York. Bright and candy-like colors are used to mask or in many cases heighten notions of the underlying sinister qualities of these scenes. As with my figures, the objects are lively and often relate to each other in a human fashion." Visit Melissa Oden's website at www.melissaoden.com.
