Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic® Will Honor Members with Scholarships

The Regional Unit of Texas of Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic (RFB&D®) will be honoring its members by providing scholarship awards for up to $1000 to show support to students who consistently strive to do their best. Students who are RFB&D members in Texas and meet the eligibility criteria must send their applications postmarked no later than Friday, December 15, 2006.

To apply, students must have a specific print disability, be currently enrolled as a junior or senior in high school or a freshman or sophomore in college and have an overall grade average of 3.0 or above, or show considerable improvement in grades. A panel of RFB&D teachers and volunteers will review the applications and the winners will be honored at The Regional Unit of Texas’s 35th Anniversary Celebration Luncheon on Feb. 16, 2007 held in Austin, Texas.
