Donating to RFB&D and the Santa Barbara Unit

2. By credit card
   You can make a gift by credit card online through our national website by visiting RFB&D's Donate Now page. Your gift will be made through our secured server and can be directed to the Santa Barbara Unit, RFB&D/National or both.
   
   
3. Gifts of Stock
   You may want to consider donating shares of your appreciated stock instead of cash. You will completely eliminate the tax on the gain and will receive a tax deduction for the full value of your gift. All you need to do is write a letter to your broker stating how many shares of the stock you want to donate to RFB&D/Santa Barbara.

4. RFB&D and your estate
   The following language can be used if you wish to name RFB&D in your will: "I give, devise, bequeath to the Santa Barbara Unit of Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic, Inc., 5638 Hollister Avenue, Suite 210, Goleta, California 93117, the sum of $_______ or _______% of my estate."

   If you have a certificate of deposit (CD) that is reaching maturity and you are thinking of renewing it, you are most likely looking at rates of return between 1.7% for a one-year CD and 3.6% for a five-year one.
