Educational OutreachThe Inland Empire/Orange County Unit works closely with Individual and Annual Institutional Members (AIM) to maintain a complete outreach program. Learn how to become a member. Read more about our individual and institutional memberships as well as the services we offer our educators and individual members.Outreach is present at many local conferences, provides training and support for all members and interested parties. Outreach volunteers are involved, for example, by manning exhibitor booths at conferences; contacting AIM sites; making welcome calls to new borrowers as well as other office jobs. Check out our Educational Outreach news section. Rewarding Volunteer OpportunitiesWe need your time, talent, and resources to open the world of books to RFB&D students. We have many opportunities for involvement available at our award-winning unit. We cannot meet the growing demand for our services without your help! When you volunteer and become one of the team, we will train you in several key studio positions including:Tape duplication & recycling Quality control Book preparation Reader Recording monitor/director Volunteer trainer Public relations Special events Fundraising Data entry and office administration We require our volunteer team to be versatile. Our training time will familiarize you with many aspects of our studio operation. Our production and service standards are high, and our team approach enables us to achieve our goals of consistently excellent quality.
