RFB&D Staffer Named National
PR Pro of the Year

2003 (Princeton, NJ) - Morgan Roth, vice president
of public affairs at Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic®
(RFB&D) was selected by PR NEWS as 2003 Public Relations
Professional of the Year in the nonprofit category. She was
honored at a dinner in New York City where the PR News PR
People Awards were held on 24 September.
Celebrating public relations leadership in key areas of communications,
PR NEWS' People Awards are the benchmark of leadership excellence.
The 2003 PR People Awards showcase the top talent in corporations,
PR firms, associations and government agencies worldwide. The
winners are those people who have made an impact in their organizations
and beyond.
Roth has been
with RFB&D since 1998. She and staff are credited with initiating
a comprehensive branding campaign that marshals the resources
of RFB&D's public affairs and marketing departments and the
grassroots resources of the organization's 20 chapters around
the country. Together, they have generated a series of award winning
media campaigns, videos and publications.
RFB&D is the nation's
leading provider of accessible educational materials for students
with disabilities that make reading challenging or impossible.
RFB&D serves 126,000 students of all ages with a unique collection
of 99,000 recorded textbooks.
Roth, 39, lives in Montgomery,
NJ. She is a volunteer coach for Pop Warner cheerleading and is
active in Girl Scouting and in local politics. She is a graduate
of McGill University, Montreal, Canada, and an alumna of the Center
for Creative Leadership, Greensboro, NC.
