Members
Purchasing Digital Playback Equipment
Due to US copyright law,
RFB&D may only distribute audiobooks in a specialized format
to a qualified member population. Individuals or agencies who
are not RFB&D members but who wish to purchase digital playback
equipment or software may do so, provided the equipment is to
be used only by an RFB&D member. Examples of
such scenarios may include:
- The purchase of equipment or software as a gift for an RFB&D
member.
- Individuals who are being served through an RFB&D Institutional
Membership via their school or another agency, and who wish
to purchase equipment for home use.
- Individuals who are being served through an RFB&D Institutional
Membership via their school or another agency, but the agency
is not providing the playback equipment.
- Non-member agencies or schools where RFB&D individual
members may attend or go for support services.
If
you are not an RFB&D member but are requesting purchase
of digital playback equipment or software, you must complete
a Nonmember Affiliate copyright form.
Additionally,
if you are an agency, RFB&D requests a list of RFB&D members
who will use the digital playback equipment at your site. Click
