Success Stories - Steve Doroghazi, RFB&D Southeast Region
Steve
Doroghazi, a 1984 graduate from the University of Pennsylvania Law School
in Philadelphia, has repeatedly stated in public that, "I really will
try to move mountains for the benefit of RFB&D." Steve unabashedly
states, "I owe my success in life to two groups: my parents and the
volunteers at RFB&D. Without both, there is no way I could have ever
graduated in the top two percent from high school, or the top five percent
from Villanova University, let alone complete my juris doctorate (J.D.)
from the University of Pennsylvania."
Steve's involvement with RFB&D might make you dizzy! He is a member (using our audio textbooks to get through school), a committed donor, and a board member (both the local Florida and Southeast regional boards of directors). Steve says that this provides him with the knowledge needed to help RFB&D survive and flourish during these trying economic times. In fact, Steve is a role model for other RFB&D devotees - he even has RFB&D in his will!
Steve and his wife, Cynthia, a volunteer reader at our Boca Raton Florida studio, recently opened a store in Fort Lauderdale that sells recumbent tricycles ("trikes") and other specialized bicycles. Five to 20 percent of all sales are donated to "charities that benefit education for the disabled.
Sonia Hedrick, production director at the Boca Raton studio, refers to Steve and Cynthia as the "Dynamic Doroghazi Duo." Steve, in his usual fashion, simply responds that he doesn't really need that much sleep!
